About This Lesson
“The hunting sound of a diminished chord can be pretty sweet when used at the right time.” -Wade McNutt
The most simple way to play a diminished chord is to take your minor chord and lower the top note a half step.
For example: C minor = C Eb G
Lower the top note = C Eb Gb
If you are thinking theory then you can put these two intervals together: minor 3rd + minor 3rd.
*Add one more minor 3rd and you have a fully diminished 7th chord!
