This course is the fourth step in the Worship Path series, designed to expand your musicianship and prepare you for confident, versatile playing in a full band setting. Building on the skills you’ve developed in previous steps, the focus here is on musical leadership and flexibility—learning to listen, harmonize, and apply theory in real time while supporting and enhancing the group’s sound.
You’ll deepen your understanding of essential concepts such as extended chords, the Nashville Number System, and advanced harmonization techniques. Practical exercises will strengthen your ear-training, song charting, and improvisational skills, while giving you experience jamming in multiple keys and on both piano and organ. Special emphasis is placed on navigating common band situations, including key changes, chord substitutions, and adapting progressions to fit different worship contexts.
As you progress through the course, you’ll gain hands-on experience applying these tools in live and recorded settings, building the confidence to lead, collaborate, and respond musically in any environment.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to play seamlessly with others, guide the music with flexibility, and contribute to worship with both skill and musical maturity.
