There is something about making an ugly face while playing sweet licks in the blues.  This random video from the internet tells it the best.

I’m being silly here, but there’s a lot of truth in it.  What’s the face that you’d make if you smelt a skunk?  What would you do if you stepped in dog droppings?  Those reactions look really sweet when playing the blues!
