About This Lesson

The Db or C# (they are both the same notes) major scales have ALL FIVE black notes.

Db scale notes: Db Eb F Gb Ab Bb C
C# scale notes: C# D# E# F# G# A# B#

The Trick:

• The group of two black notes will be played by the pointer and middle fingers on both hands.
• The group of three black notes will be played by the pointer, middle and ring fingers on both hands.
• Any white notes are almost always played by the thumbs.
